On a Windows based computer you can run the following command from either the command prompt or from PowerShell (if you aren’t allowed to run the command prompt). You do not need to be an administrator of the computer to execute this command.
The command to execute from either the command prompt or from PowerShell is “wmic bios get serialnumber “
